Melissa Brown's Original Gourdfolk - since 1991

Welcome
to the wonderful world of Gourdfolk! I began creating my Gourdfolk in 1991 in my home studio.
I made my first few Santas for a friend for her holiday party centerpieces. The folks who attending her party asked where
she got them, and well, the rest is history! In the few weeks before Christmas that year I received orders for more than I
could finish. Over the past almost twenty years (hard to believe) I have expanded the line to include many other characters.
Some have stuck around while others have had their moment in the sun and have been retired - like I was for the past few years!
I took some time off to attend to some family business and to explore ceramics, which I have come to love. I hope you'll take
the time to visit my Etsy shop http://cedarpocket.etsy.com. I'm also starting a blog - yep - I'm going over to the dark side - but
it's a way to keep you posted about what's going on here... If you're interested just scroll down and check it out!

I couldn't be happier. It was so great to see so many of you at
the Claremont Village Venture last Saturday. It was pretty stressful for me (and Steve) to do a show after so many years and
after the day was over we reminisced about what great friends so many customers became over the years. We feel a tremendous
gratitude for all of you.
I'm going to get back to work tomorrow (after grocery shopping and going
to the dentist today!) and will be creating lots of Santas and Snowmen for the our upcoming Open House. I have a feeling the
next six weeks are gonna fly by!
