Welcome to the wonderful world of Gourdfolk!

I began creating my Gourdfolk in 1991 in my home studio. I made my first few Santas for a friend for her holiday party centerpieces. The folks who attending her party asked where she got them, and well, the rest is history! In the few weeks before Christmas that year I received orders for more than I could finish. Over the past almost twenty years (hard to believe) I have expanded the line to include many other characters. Some have stuck around while others have had their moment in the sun and have been retired - like I was for the past few years! I took some time off to attend to some family business and to explore ceramics, which I have come to love. I hope you'll take the time to visit my Etsy shop http://cedarpocket.etsy.com.

Trying to build this site.

So, after months, maybe years, of procrastinating about whether to start making my Gourdfolk again, I'm doing it. I've burned a few and they are patiently waiting to be stained. I'll be posting them for sale soon. I felt the need to update my old site so that's what I'm slogging through right now....please bear with me while I get to know this new software....
